Some airlines recently announced travelers using SMART luggage would need to remove batteries prior to checking bags in a plane's cargo hold, beginning January 15, 2018. While Modobag® is designed as a carry-on, and our battery systems are among the safest and compliant in the world, they can be removed to address these requirements. Please review our video on how to properly remove/replace the Modobag® battery.
